From Queenstown, drive to Glenorchy at the Head of the Lake (50kms). From Glenorchy, follow the signs for 'Rees Valley' the heli-pad is right next to the road, well signposted, and is about 15kms from Glenorchy (5kms of seal, 10kms of gravel road).

Invincible is a privately owned snowfield and mountain recreation area near Glenorchy. We offer a fantastic alternative to crowded commercial fields for those of you with a sense of adventure a great heli-accessed day in the backcountry (fly in, fly out, with a 700 m rope tow on site). No roads, no queues, no crowds just some of the best backcountry skiing or boarding NZ has to offer. Our emphasis is on phenomenal natural snow and terrain, a backcountry experience with minimal environmental impact that retains some sense of awe for the alpine setting, as well as offering excellent skiing and riding for people looking to try something different. We boast uncrowded slopes, fantastic terrain and lots of it, the chance to achieve silly amounts of vertical metres per day and the opportunity to stay in a complete mountain wilderness in our ten-person hut.
